DANGEE | CARKEN EVENT 

Walking into a night of style, stepping into a socializing hub and dancing to the beat of live music, the Dangee|Carken Footwear Showcase was an event that could not be missed. 

Held at the company’s head office and showroom space, guests were able to get a sneak peek into the significant styles from the SS 19 collections. There are five main footwear & accessory brands namely, Miss Black, Butterfly Feet, Urbanart, Viabeach Brazil and Mazerata. Each brand is embedded with a unique DNA that encompasses factors like comfort, aesthetic and durability, striking a balance for the brand’s particular market. 

Each brand opens the doors to essential artist-brand collaboration opportunities with South African game changers- case in point- Urbanart’s collaboration with Hip Hop artist, Kwesta. The concept behind the partnership stemmed from Urbanart’s intention to team up with a relevant artist that has a finger on the pulse of what it means to be a youthful, urban South African. With a keen interest in the design process, the “Kwesta Speed” shoe came to life. 

Dangee|Carken found it ever-so fitting that their guests be treated to an extension of drinks and delectables whilst entertained by Kwesta’s live performance. Following the performance, guests were able to take a stroll through the impressive showroom display featuring the entire SS 19 footwear range where they were provided with a farewell gift that included shoes and other favourable takeaways like Eden Perfumes. 

As the evening drew to a close, each guest caught a glimpse of what Dangee|Carken does and how it aims to recognise the beauty of representation through fashion, footwear and authenticity.
